The “proADAS – promotion of Active Digital Ageing Skills” project was funded by the European Commission, through the National Agency of Cyprus under the programme “Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of Erasmus+ good practices – Strategic Partnerships in the field of adult education”.
The project aims to provide people aged over 60, and their carers, with ICT tools that can help them become familiar with new technologies by addressing issues that directly affect them.
Frailty, fall prevention, mental health problems such as depression and dementia, nutrition and cardiovascular problems are the topics that will be covered in an online course and in an app. In addition, a manual will also be made available.
At the beginning of the project a questionnaire helped define the approach to the topics and further surveys are planned during the project to improve the outcome.
All the research and results will be collected in a book that will be made available to the scientific community and to every person or organisation that may be interested.
